How are prices determined?
Prices are set by the artist in consultation with curators, reflecting the artistic value, materials, edition size, and social significance. The price you see is inclusive of THROAT’s platform and curator fees.
Who covers taxes, shipping, and handling?
Buyers cover:
- Applicable taxes (including VAT or sales tax depending on jurisdiction)
- Shipping and handling costs
- Any applicable import duties or customs fees
These costs will be calculated or disclosed before checkout.
How is artwork shipped and insured?
- Sellers (artists) are responsible for secure packaging and insured shipment.
- Tracking numbers will be provided to buyers.
- The seller provides Insurance which covers the artwork’s value during transit.
Can I return a purchase?
Due to the nature of our mission and the regions many artists operate from, all sales are final except in cases of:
- Damage during shipping
- Incorrect item received
In such cases, buyers must notify THROAT within 3 days of delivery with photographic evidence.
